About

Phoebe Zeitler was born in Mercer County, Pennsylvania at the tail end of the collapse of the steel industry in the area. Her family was forced to move throughout the northeastern United States for the better part of a decade before settling down in Allegany County in Western New York. She still maintained a strong tie to Western Pennsylvania, graduating from Gannon University with a B.S. in Software Engineering.
Later in life, Phoebe herself dealt with the migratory existence of a software developer in the post-dot-com-bubble era, before making a home for herself in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Over a varied and lengthy career, she has supplemented her software expertise with domain knowledge in finance, pharmaceuticals, logistics, military technology, linguistics, and 3D printing.
Phoebe was a participant in the inaugural season of AspirantCCG and Swagoi Gaming's Venus and Mercury League, a Magic the Gathering Arena league for women and non-binary players. Starting with that inaugural season she became the video producer for the league, coordinating and showrunning the weekly broadcasts. Self-taught in video editing tools, she edits footage for the broadcasts to create the "hand-cam" view of both players' hands, inspired by the groundbreaking World Series of Poker broadcasts. Starting in May 2021, Phoebe began running the featured D&D campaign Ravnica by Starlight, with players and support from the VML.
Phoebe also works as a freelance tabletop game designer and author. She is developing the IDOMI Campaign Setting, scheduled for its first release in 2022. In addition she is a contributing author for Metal Weave Games.
The COVID-19 outbreak put a halt to her planned debut as an amateur stand-up comedian in Pittsburgh, but she is planning to return to that ambition once it is safe to do so.
Phoebe is an outspoken advocate for social equality and equal rights movements, and is a vociferous defender of community-conscious freedom of expression. She is an openly transgender individual.
Phoebe lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with two friends, five cats, and several dozen energy drinks.
